College is one of the most important steps in our lives. Many of us have dreamed of this moment since we were kids and as we grew older, our dreams of college grew with us.
I was enrolled in college once before I came to DCCCD. In 2010, I was accepted into Suffolk University as a freshman.
Depending on how long you’ve been a college student, you may or may not have learned by now how important it is to develop good writing chops. (If you haven’t learned this yet, then just trust us — it’s really, really important.)
“One of the greatest benefits of being a STEM scholar is the access to networking.”

Hey everyone! My name is Sadiya and I’m so excited to be able to share bits and pieces of my life with y’all! I’m a student at North Lake College, where I plan to get my AA and transfer to a four-year institution to major in Human Rights and nonprofit management. My goal is to go to law school to study International Law. After I studied Islamic Theology at a girls’ boarding school in England, North Lake College was my first choice once I got back. Originally from California, it was also my first school in Texas where I got to make friends.
Hiii everyone! I’m Ezra and I am an Accounting and Human Rights major at Richland College. I’m planning to transfer to SMU or UTD depending on financial aid packages and scholarships, so fingers crossed. Ideally, I would love to work in the United Nations and find my way in the legislative process as a congresswoman but those are just plans, I’m open to where life takes me.
