Continuing on our theme of discussing the U.S. News and World Report’s 100 Best Jobs of 2016 list and what that means to DCCCD, we’re talking this week about jobs with management roles. At first glance, you might not necessarily see how each of these jobs are connected. But the thing they have in common is that they will usually require some ability to see things from a “big picture” point of view and keep track of various moving parts. All of them will require some level of people skills, as often these positions will involve hiring and supervising others.

Welcome back, DCCCD students! We get it – starting college (or even just a new semester) can be overwhelming. Maybe you still need to buy textbooks (hopefully not!), find your classrooms, meet your professors or any number of other things. It’s a lot to handle! Hopefully some of the information in this post will be helpful.
Criminal justice refers to “the system of practices and institutions of governments directed at upholding social control, deterring and mitigating crime, or sanctioning those who violate laws with criminal penalties and rehabilitation efforts.”
As part of the Healthy Communities Challenge, DCCCD is hosting a series of Affordable Care Act events to help you #GetCovered for 2016! Dallas is one of 20 cities participating in the challenge, with a goal from the White House to enroll the highest percentage of uninsured. The winning city will get bragging rights, a healthier community and a visit from President Obama to celebrate its success.
