Hello! This week, we’re talking a little more about U.S. News and World Report’s 100 Best Jobs of 2018 — this time, as it relates to IT jobs in Texas and the programs DCCCD offers to help get you started.

If so, join the Food and Hospitality Institute at El Centro College in Downtown Dallas. El Centro is the only college of DCCCD that offers the Food and Hospitality program. This exciting program is designed to give students hands-on experience to prepare them for one of three exciting food service careers.
Dance, lectures, literature and a historical trip to Louisiana are part of the activities Dallas County Community College District is offering during Black History Month. All DCCCD colleges are participating. Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.

Dallas Community Colleges annually provides the 1098-T form to students who enrolled in credit classes during the tax year as prescribed by IRS regulations. This form provides information about educational expenses that may qualify the student for tuition-and-fees tax deductions or education-related tax credits. Your 1098-T form will be available by Jan. 31 each year.
Registration for Winter and Spring credit classes began last month. A total of 68,378 students have already signed up for their classes — way to go!
Great news: we’re updating our printing and copying systems at the colleges of DCCCD! Previously, you could only use cash to add money to your account and the credit was only good at the college where you added it. But no more!
