As part of the Healthy Communities Challenge, DCCCD is hosting a series of Affordable Care Act events to help you #GetCovered for 2016! Dallas is one of 20 cities participating in the challenge, with a goal from the White House to enroll the highest percentage of uninsured. The winning city will get bragging rights, a healthier community and a visit from President Obama to celebrate its success.
There are two ways to get free tax help, thanks to the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and the United Way of Tarrant County.
Recently, the DCCCD Board of Trustees moved “employee success” to the top of the list of DCCCD strategic priorities followed by student success, community engagement and institutional effectiveness. The board did this in recognition of the fact that when DCCCD employees succeed, students do, too.

Whether you’re picking it up off of a store shelf or having it delivered to your front porch, logistics is how it gets done quickly and efficiently.

North Texans normally don’t experience the long, harsh and snowy winters that people in Minnesota or Maine enjoy. Coats and sweaters don’t even come out of storage until late October or even November. But that doesn’t mean residents should neglect winterizing their homes, which could keep them warm and leave a little extra money in their pockets.
