Every year since 1963, the U.S. has observed a National Small Business Week in honor of community contributions from local entrepreneurs and small business owners. The purpose of Small Business Week is to recognize these business owners and their employees, which make up more than half of Americans and create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.
Hey everyone! My name is Sadiya and I’m so excited to be able to share bits and pieces of my life with y’all! I’m a student at North Lake College, where I plan to get my AA and transfer to a four-year institution to major in Human Rights and nonprofit management. My goal is to go to law school to study International Law. After I studied Islamic Theology at a girls’ boarding school in England, North Lake College was my first choice once I got back. Originally from California, it was also my first school in Texas where I got to make friends.

I’m planning to transfer to SMU or UTD depending on financial aid packages and scholarships, so fingers crossed. Ideally, I would love to work in the United Nations and find my way in the legislative process as a congresswoman but those are just plans, I’m open to where life takes me.
