Construction jobs are in demand in north Texas, with expected employment growth of 27 percent by 2024, according to the Texas Workforce Commission. This surge affects all areas of construction, including (but not limited to) areas like: electrical technology, plumbing, air conditioning and refrigeration technology, carpentry and welding.
The decision to register for summer college classes is not an easy one. Students struggle with the choice between taking a relaxing hiatus from their studies or using the summer to get ahead (or catch up).
Here are a few advantages and disadvantages of signing up for Summer term. As you read through these, keep in mind there are may be other factors not listed here that could be important in your decision.
Computer aided design and drafting (often called CADD or CAD) aids in the creation, modification, analysis or optimization of a design — think like a machine part, or the design of a building. Typically, CADD output is in the form of electronic files for print, machining or other manufacturing operations. Modern CAD software does much more than just drafting — it provides a wide range of computer-based tools that assist engineers, architects and other design professionals in their design activities. Here it is: our last chapter in our series of blog posts on U.S. News and World Report’s 100 Best Jobs of 2017. But the thing they have in common is that they will usually require some ability to see things from a “big picture” point of view and keep track of various moving parts. All of them will require some level of people skills, as often these positions will involve hiring and supervising others.
