Dallas College continues to put its students first.
Starting in the fall, students will enjoy an upgraded eCampus, our learning management system, as the college introduces Brightspace by D2L. This will replace the Blackboard platform.
The Brightspace by D2L system will enhance the student experience by offering a cleaner, modern and more user-friendly platform. Notable Brightspace by D2L benefits include:
- Clean and simple user interface for students that works across devices.
- Students and instructors can record video comments within the interface – these are automatically captioned and can be converted to other languages by the viewer.
- Content created within the interface is formatted automatically for screen readers.
- Supporting student progress with a simple dashboard for instructors.
Students will not need to do anything for this change. It should be a seamless transition as students can access the new platform the same way they access eCampus and Blackboard now once the platform goes live.
Dallas College provides Tutorials for Online Tools for support if students run into issues once the new platform launches.
