We’re only a few days away from your graduation ceremony! Everyone at Dallas College is looking forward to honoring you and your academic achievements.
We have some final information to share with you that will help ensure you are able to walk across that stage in a few days.
- If you have not already bought your cap and gown, purchase them at any campus bookstore now through Wednesday, June 23, while supplies last. You must be wearing regalia to participate in the graduation ceremony. If you are a high school student, please check with your dual credit high school counselor, assistant principal or RCHS advisor about whether you need to purchase your regalia. Dallas College stoles will be available for purchase while supplies last at the ceremony, and dual credit students can purchase red cords at the ceremony. Credit card payment is preferred at the ceremony.
- Four electronic tickets for your family and friends to attend your ceremony were emailed to the email address you submitted on your graduation ceremony RSVP form. Tickets can only be used once, and all guests, including children, must have a ticket to enter the Curtis Culwell Center. If you did not receive these tickets, check your junk or spam folders. The Dallas College Office of Student Life has also set up a ticket exchange message board if you need more tickets or have extras to give to another graduate. Tickets may be exchanged at no cost only. Selling graduation tickets is prohibited.
- Each graduation ceremony will be livestreamed on the 2021 graduation website for family and friends who cannot attend.
- Entrances will open for graduates and guests 90 minutes before the start of your ceremony. Graduates must check in at the north conference center entrance (look for the “graduates” sign). You are encouraged to arrive early to ensure you have time to check in and take your seat on the arena floor before the ceremony begins.
- Please leave all personal items in your car to make it easier for you. You will also be required to remove your cap when going through security. Please visit the 2021 graduation website for information on the Curtis Culwell Center security policies, which apply to graduates and guests.
- In conjunction with CDC guidance and the governor’s executive order, we will no longer be requiring masks at our graduation ceremonies. However, we fully support anyone who chooses to wear a mask due to personal preference.
Please continue to check the 2021 graduation website for updates and additional information, including more about what to expect. Congratulations!
