How We’re Moving Forward With Distance Learning

As you know by now, most of our classes during the Spring 2021 semester will remain online. To help prepare you for that, we’re inviting you, along with community members and employees, to the State of Dallas College Virtual Community Town Hall on Thursday, Nov. 19.

(For short, let’s just call it “the town hall” for now. Agreed? Agreed.)

During the hour-long discussion on online learning, Dallas College Chancellor Joe May will lead a group of panelists that will include Provost Shawnda Floyd, Mountain View Campus President Beatriz Joseph and Chief of Advancement Initiatives Pyeper Wilkins.

The coronavirus pandemic has affected all of us, but we’re focused on ensuring your success as we move into both a new year and a new semester. With that in mind, you’ll hear from your fellow students, along with Dallas College faculty and leadership, on the challenges distance learning presents and how we’re working to overcome those challenges.

If you have something you want answered during the town hall, submit your questions by Monday, Nov. 16. And be sure to join us for the town hall at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, for more information on how we’re moving forward with distance learning.
