There’s more to going to college than writing papers, studying for exams, registering for classes and meeting with an academic advisor. You also need to find transportation, figure out how to pay your tuition and maybe join a club or two along the way!
It can be a lot to balance — which is why DCCCD is here to help with its new Virtual Student Resources page. You can now explore all the tools available to support you on your college journey in one place. As you transition to online learning, this page will be your go-to for all your needs inside and outside of class.
Here are some of the services you can access on the page. Family and community members will find useful information, too!
- Career services: Get resume help, find jobs specifically for students and explore career paths
- Health, wellness and counseling: Access virtual health center services, make an online counseling appointment, find community mental health resources and learn about the DCCCD CARE Team
- TRIO programs: Learn about resources available for low-income students, first-generation students and students with disabilities, including tutoring, scholarships and mentoring
- Veterans services: Learn how to apply for VA educational benefits, connect with employers looking to hire veterans and find community resources for military families
New features and tools will continue to be added to the Virtual Student Resources page, so keep an eye out for everything you’ll need to get ahead during your time in school!
