Dallas College Athletes Earn All-Academic Honors 

Dallas College athletes also excel in academics. Our athletes and teams across six campuses collected several NJCAA All-Academic honors for their academic performance off the field during the 2024-2025 academic year. 

Brookhaven 

Eight Dallas College Brookhaven student-athletes were awarded with All-Academic honors.  

Baseball’s Chris Ottinger and women’s soccer’s Kate Carlson earned First Team All-Academic awards. 

Baseball’s Clayten Mixon was a Second Team All-Academic recipient. 

Baseball’s Caleb Kennedy and Payton Stephenson and women’s soccer’s Gianna Antovoni, Amiah Brown and Brisa Hernandez received Third Team honors. 

Cedar Valley 

Dallas College Cedar Valley student-athletes led the Dallas Athletic Conference with 35 All-Academic awards. 

Cedar Valley’s baseball team also posted the highest grade point average for a National Junior College Athletic Association Division III program in its sport, and the women’s soccer team earned an All-Academic Team Award

Eastfield 

Eastfield produced 12 All-Academic honorees, including four First Team winners. 

Baseball players Michael Caputo, Billy Spratt and Tyler Trapp and volleyball player Taryn Doiron each earned First Team All-Academic honors after maintaining 4.0 grade point averages during the school year. 

Baseball’s Jason Miller, volleyball’s Ally Rogers and men’s basketball’s Oreoluwa Alabi were Second Team All-Academic recipients. 

Baseball’s Traelyn James and Logan Young, volleyball’s Mia Santos and McKenzie Anderson and women’s soccer’s Samantha Pena each received Third Team All-Academic awards. 

Mountain View 

Five Dallas College Mountain View student-athletes earned All-Academic recognition.  

Baseball’s Micah Gregory and men’s basketball’s Louis Conner were honored with First Team All-Academic distinction after carrying 4.0 grade point averages throughout the school year. 

Volleyball’s Kahmya Rice, women’s basketball’s Kiersten Thomas and baseball’s Santiago Aravena received Third Team All-Academic honors after posting GPAs between 3.60-3.79. 

North Lake 

Seven North Lake student-athletes earned All-Academic recognition, including four members of North Lake’s baseball team. 

Baseball player Grant Kline and women’s soccer player Natalie Gaytan earned First Team All-Academic honors after maintaining 4.0 grade point averages during the school year. 

Baseball players Leo Salas and Matthew Wendorf earned Second Team All-Academic honors. 

Volleyball players Katie Lloyd and Alex Knowles and baseball’s Brayden McCallum were Third All-Academic recipients. 

Richland 

Richland student-athletes collected 27 All-Academic honors, and Richland men’s soccer team earned All-Academic Team recognition after posting a 3.32 grade point average. 

“This award reflects the hard work, discipline and dedication our players bring to every aspect of their college experience,” Thunderducks head coach Raul Herrera said.
