Well, we have good news and bad news. The bad news is: summer is nearly over. The good news is: the Fall 2016 semester is right around the corner! (Come on, that’s great news, right?!) Every year since 1963, the U.S. has observed a National Small Business Week in honor of community contributions from local entrepreneurs and small business owners. The purpose of Small Business Week is to recognize these business owners and their employees, which make up more than half of Americans and create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.

As part of the Healthy Communities Challenge, DCCCD is hosting a series of Affordable Care Act events to help you #GetCovered for 2016! Dallas is one of 20 cities participating in the challenge, with a goal from the White House to enroll the highest percentage of uninsured. The winning city will get bragging rights, a healthier community and a visit from President Obama to celebrate its success.
There are two ways to get free tax help, thanks to the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and the United Way of Tarrant County.
