This year 102 Dallas College students travelled to Corpus Christi to participate in the 2025 SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference. The students brought home 86 medals in 57 different categories, ranging from Audio and Radio Production to Nurse Assisting to Wedding Cake Decoration.
SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit that supports over 300,000 students and instructors annually through career development, scholarships, leadership conferences and hands-on skills competitions. The organization empowers students to excel in the workforce and beyond, helping close the national skills gap.
The Dallas College students who earned a gold medal at the state competition qualify to move on to compete nationally at the SkillsUSA Championships to be held June 23-27 in Atlanta. You can find out more about SkillsUSA at Dallas College through this student portal.
