Unleash Your Inner Engineer: Design the Future at ASME-EFx Engineering Competition

Calling Dallas College aspiring engineers! Do you dream of building the next generation of robots, designing aerial vehicles or pushing the boundaries of technology? Get ready to put your skills to the test, collaborate with fellow innovators, learn from industry experts and compete for exciting prizes.

On April 4-5, Dallas College will host the 2025 American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) EFx Student Competition at Richland Campus. These competitions will give you a chance to show off your skills in design, advanced manufacturing, robotics technologies, CAD programming as well as presenting your ideas to others. Visit this ASME EFx Dallas event site for additional competition information.

Dallas College Richland will host four competitions:

  • Student Design: Teams design, construct and operate a prototype that solves a stated problem.
  • IAM3D: Students use additive manufacturing and an iterative design process to create a hand-launched aerial vehicle.
  • e-HPVC: The e-human powered vehicle challenge gives students the opportunity to network and apply engineering principles through the design, fabrication and racing of human powered vehicles.
  • Elevator Pitch: Students show off speaking skills as they are challenged to “sell” their ideas in 90 seconds or less.
