Are you passionate about mental health? Want to be part of a powerful movement that’s changing the conversation around mental wellness?
Active Minds is looking for driven, compassionate students to join our student-led peer mental health advocacy group at Dallas College!
Active Minds is a national organization with over 600 student chapters across the U.S., and it’s all about young adults leading the charge to break the stigma and transform mental health conversations. As the founder of Active Minds says, “Young adults have identified mental health as their social justice issue. They are going to be the ones to change this for future generations.”
Now it’s our turn — Dallas College is ready to lead the way!
Why should you get involved?
- Be a change-maker: Play a key role in reshaping how we talk about mental health.
- Gain valuable experience: Get hands-on experience in health promotion — perfect for anyone interested in health-related fields.
- Continue the impact: Many four-year universities host Active Minds chapters, so you can carry on your advocacy after Dallas College.
- Boost your resume: This looks fantastic on any resume, especially for careers in mental health, education or social justice.
As an Active Minds member, you’ll engage in monthly meetings where we dive into mental health education, self-care practices, and learn how to advocate for peer mental health across our campus. Plus, we host mental health events and fundraisers to make a real impact!
