Academic Centers Provide Better Support for Students

The new Academic Centers have been generating plenty of buzz around Dallas College campuses since they opened on Sept. 30. These centers were designed to enhance support for students, as well as faculty and staff, with access to an academic administrator for ongoing academic needs.

Among assistance provided at the Academic Centers include academic processes, grade changes, reinstatements, incomplete contracts and more. They also offer a location for students to connect and build a community alongside faculty and staff.

The centers complement Information Central at each campus.

While the Academic Centers have received positive reviews early on, the effort is ongoing to adapt them to best fit the needs of students and faculty going forward. Simply put, feedback is welcomed from all.

If you haven’t stopped by an Academic Center yet, make sure to do so soon! All centers are open Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m.–noon.
