Learn How You Can Get Free or Discounted Medications

We know prescription medications can be expensive. Thankfully, we’re partnered with a local pharmacy that offers free, or discounted medications.

Students and families without insurance can receive free medication through the St. Vincent de Paul Pharmacy. Any person, including those who may be undocumented, can receive prescriptions from the pharmacy. You can even enroll your family members who do not have insurance, as St. Vincent de Paul offers prescription care for the entire family. The pharmacy offers a range of medications for chronic conditions and behavioral health care concerns.

Dallas College Health Services recommends you speak to a student care coordinator first to learn more and get the support you need when filling prescriptions. Fill out the Student Care Form and a student care coordinator will contact you with details and next steps.

St. Vincent de Paul Pharmacy is a part of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, which is a volunteer organization that “offers direct aid to those in need across nine counties in Texas.”

The pharmacy is housed on the second floor of a beautiful new community center that offers a range of programs including a pediatric clinic, a women’s clinic, a workforce training site and a food bank. Prescriptions are quickly and efficiently delivered within the metroplex through a courier, and FedEx and USPS are used for deliveries that are farther away.

Note: While Dallas College does not currently offer pharmacy services on campus, our Health Center nurses can provide a variety of referrals, including referrals to providers who assist with health concerns and any recommended medications.
