Last updated on March 9, 2022

Darius Frasure, Dallas College faculty member, will be featured at the 2022 Dallas Literary Festival for his book of poems “of stone and rope.”

Frasure will be one of three poets featured in the Poets Do Dallas segment at Southern Methodist University on March 19 from 1:45-3 p.m.

“I feel fortunate about being able to talk about my work as a poet especially during this time of societal evolution in the world,” said Frasure.

In addition to teaching, Frasure is a public speaker, workshop facilitator, poet and coach. His poetry appears in many literary journals and select readings are on YouTube. He has one spoken word album, “Spoken Pieces,” and two collections of poetry, “stained glass medusa” and “of stone and rope.”

The Dallas Literary Festival runs March 18-22 at a variety of venues throughout Dallas. To learn more about the five-day event visit the Dallas Literary Festival website.
