How’s your mental health? Have you considered pursuing mental health counseling to help support yourself? Looking for other resources to add to your toolbox as we draw closer to the hustle and bustle of a new school year in August?

Counseling Services is proud to present students with a range of mental health resources to help support the whole student as you pursue your education and keep your career goals in focus.

Let’s begin with a friendly reminder: Dallas College provides licensed, highly trained mental health professionals who are passionate about the mental health and wellbeing of our students. The Professional Counselors provide free, confidential mental health counseling to any credit-earning student enrolled in an ongoing semester. Perhaps you want to work on personal concerns like anxiety or depression, relationships with others, adjusting to life’s changes, academic motivation or trauma. Professional Counselors are compassionate, confidential professionals who are ready to support you. Reach out to counseling@dcccd.edu to set up an appointment!

Perhaps you’re looking for self-driven resources to take in at your own pace. Have you heard about 7 Cups? Counseling Services provides these excellent platforms to help students learn more about mental health and wellness, as well as seek peer support, at any time – day or night.

7 Cups Peer-to-Peer Support is an online, global community platform that provides a compassionate community of trained listeners who will listen to your concerns in a caring, safe space, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. 7 Cups is truly global: You can receive confidential, one-on-one peer support in over 140 languages from almost every country and culture. There are also over 35 growth paths with exercises to help support you. To explore more:

  • Head to our 7 Cups Registration Page
  • Use password dcwellness and click Get Started – once you enter, create your account.
    • Make sure you select the checkbox to provide a School/Organization code and use dcwellness.
  • Once you have registered, look for your confirmation email and you are ready to begin!
