Most colleges and universities in the United States, including Dallas College, require students to show documentation of meningitis vaccination or to fill out an exemption form in order to attend in-person classes. Well, that was the case until COVID-19 changed how we do things because students were no longer on campus.
Now that a year has gone by and things are starting to go back to some version of what they used to be, many of us are preparing for a future return to campus (at some point).
One thing you can do now to be ready when that return to campus happens is to make sure your meningitis records are up to date.
Schedule your appointment in LibCal today. Free vaccination clinics are periodically hosted at Dallas College. You can always check for the latest information about where to get vaccinated.
Have you gotten the meningitis vaccine? Then make sure you submit those records.
Do you need to get the meningitis vaccine shot? If so, we have compiled a list of Dallas County Health and Human Services Immunization clinics that can help you out for around $10, even if you don’t have health insurance.
Visit the Dallas College Meningitis Vaccination Requirement webpage for all the information you need, including:
- Details about where you can get the meningitis vaccine and how it works
- Instructions for submitting your records online (via the Med+Proctor portal)
- Access to the exemption form if you object to the vaccine for religious or other reasons.
