World AIDS Day is right around the corner, and Dallas College is doing its part to bring attention to the HIV epidemic by hosting a talk with you Tuesday, Dec. 1.
We’re hosting with Melissa Grove, executive director of Legacy Counseling Center, Dallas’ premier agency for quality mental health care, substance abuse treatment and special care housing services for people impacted with HIV and AIDS.
World AIDS Day has been globally celebrated since 1988, with organizations around the world working toward ending the HIV epidemic through education and awareness.
Along those lines, this talk will discuss HIV, the early AIDS crisis and what similarities Melissa sees in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, among other topics.
Join us on Webex at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, for an open and honest discussion on the HIV epidemic and the steps we can all take to end it.
