Even during normal times, many people experience stress, depression and anxiety. These conditions can affect many areas of people’s lives, including work, school and relationships.
And, of course, 2020 has been far from normal. It’s no surprise a lot of people are having a hard time right now.
To support your mental health and your success reaching your goals, Dallas College is launching TAO – Therapy Assistance Online. You can use this suite of online tools on any device with internet access — like your phone, tablet or laptop. TAO is free for you to use as a Dallas College student.
How Does TAO Work?
TAO offers online educational modules that use videos, animation and interactive features to keep things interesting. TAO includes over 150 brief educational sessions covering more than 50 common topics and skills. You can work on mental health, wellness and substance use issues.
You can use TAO’s courses at your own pace, whenever you have some spare time. If you’re feeling down, TAO can give you some encouragement. Or, if you have a few minutes and want to meditate, TAO has a mindfulness library that can help. Practice tools let you reinforce what you’ve learned, and the system tracks your progress so you can see how far you’ve come.
