Register for the 2020 STEM Conference

Knowledge of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects can be key to finding a great job or pursuing an exciting degree at a four-year college or university. If you are interested in pursuing a career in a STEM field, register for this year’s STEM Conference! Our theme is, “Oh, the places you’ll go,” and we can’t wait to see you there!

Eastfield College will host the free conference, which is open to all DCCCD students, Friday, April 3. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided for all registered guests.

Here’s what you can look forward to at the conference:

  • Opening Doors: Brookhaven College President and former STEM student Dr. Linda Braddy shares how a STEM education prepared her for success
  • Connecting Pathways: Former DCCCD STEM students now at the University of Texas at Dallas, Southern Methodist University and the University of Texas at Arlington share their secrets to successful transfer and university experience
  • Exploring Options: STEM professionals answer questions and give insider advice about the many career options available to STEM students
  • Launching Your Career: DCCCD STEM alumni demystify what it is really like to work in a STEM field

Space is limited, so don’t wait to register now. If you have any questions, please email Jason Treadway, District Director of the DCCCD STEM Institute, or call him at 214-378-1553.
