If you’re taking Maymester or Flex Term classes, the dates listed above might not apply — and you should definitely check with the Business/Cashier’s Office for details.
Why Can’t I Register for This Class Online?
There are a number of reasons why you may not be able to register for a class, but don’t fret — that’s why we are here. Some reasons include: you haven’t completed TSI assessment testing, you have academic or financial blocks, you haven’t submitted transcripts, you have fewer than 12 hours of college level credit or you haven’t met the prerequisite for each class. When in doubt, meet with an advisor.
Don’t Have Time to Make an Appointment With an Advisor?
Need to talk to us on the go? Text us! You can ask us questions and get help with things like applying to our colleges, registering for classes, transcripts and anything else you need.
Here’s How It Works:
- Opt in to DCCCD text messages by texting “DCCCD” to 214-978-6457.
- You will receive an automated response from our DCCCD team.
- From there, using the system, ask us about anything.
- Need more information? Check out Text DCCCD.
Why Do I Need to Send My Transcript?
We need your transcripts to see what other courses you have taken at other institutions. One of the primary reasons for this is because many courses have prerequisites that must be met before you can register. Your transcripts are the main way we find out if you’ve taken those prerequisites elsewhere before enrolling in one of the colleges of DCCCD. Transcripts are evaluated by DCCCD Admissions/Registrar’s offices, and you will need to have your transcripts sent to the college you plan to attend. (Still have questions about transcripts? Check out some of our frequently asked questions about transcripts and evaluation.)
