Health Care Careers Have a Bright Future

You’ve heard it before and we’ll say it again: The health care industry is booming! In fact, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that health care is the fastest-growing industry in the nation, with a projected increase of 2.3 million jobs by 2024.

Which Health Care Careers Are in Demand?

Pairing job seekers with job openings, the Health Care Career Fair will return to Dallas this April. More than 100 hiring organizations will attend, representing 15,000-plus jobs in a range of industries, from allied and mental health to pharmacy and geriatrics. Just a small sampling of available health care career pathways include:

What Do Health Care Employers Look For?

At most job fairs, those seeking employment feel like small fish in a big pond — there tend to be more job applicants than job openings. So you move from table to table, doing your best to stand out from the crowd.

At a health care career fair, however, the opposite is true — there are usually more job openings than qualified applicants. You are a big fish in a small pond, and employers will use their best bait to try to lure you into applying. Listen carefully to find out which positions are the best matches for your skills and experience.
