Jog in Comfort at Richland College’s Acclaimed Trail

Last updated on October 4, 2019

Do you like to jog? If you do and you attend Richland College, then you only have to step outside to find what The Dallas Morning News calls the “Best Trail for Comfort” in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The campus, at 12800 Abrams Road in Dallas, has a three-quarters-mile soft-surface jogging trail that won the praise of the newspaper’s running writer. There’s also a one-mile trail that incorporates sidewalks part of the way.

The News interviewed more than a dozen runners and coaches to come up with its list of best trails. One of its experts says Richland’s path, right next to the G Building recreation center, is “well-lighted, and people are coming and going at the recreation center and on the trail all hours of the day. The center has restrooms and plenty of parking.”

So if you’re a runner, check out Richland’s comfy trail. Even if you’re not, take a look at the other athletic facilities at DCCCD’s seven colleges.
